  • Served as member of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) technical committee for NFPA “1600 Standard on Disaster/Emergency Management and Business Continuity Programs” and chairperson of various task groups. 

  • Reviewed and and made recommendations and changes to emergency management and business continuity plans in support of DHS SAFETY Act submission for Major League Baseball Team.

  • Developed emergency response plans for natural disasters such as Winter Storms, Hurricanes, earthquakes and floods.

  • Served on Area Maritime Security Committees, developing port risk management/mitigation and trade resumption resiliency plan and special security precautions for risk specific incidents.

  • Developed site security plan and infrastructure and technology security improvements to Department of Homeland Security designated Critical Infrastructure.

  • Developed city and state security plans and emergency management and response plans for major special events such as 4th of July celebration, New Years Eve “First Night” celebration, tall ships visit, War of 1812 Bicentennial, Super Bowl, World Series and NBA Championships.

  • Developed state-wide security plans, emergency planning and mitigation plans for rail transportation of ethanol through densely populated regions.

  • Served on State Department of Public Safety and Security committee to review and prioritize statewide submissions for Department of Homeland Security funding grants.

  • Served on State Department of Public Safety and Security committee that developed security and emergency response plans for the transportation of Biohazards.

  • Appointed to State Department of Public Safety and Security committee that developed a plan to integrate all technological sensors in the capital region into a system that can be accessed by multiple public safety agencies at the federal, state and local levels.
