Applying Strategy to Opportunity
“A goal without a plan is just a wish.”
― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
"Our research reveals that, on average, 95% of a company’s employees are unaware of, or do not understand, its strategy. If the employees who are closest to customers and who operate processes that create value are unaware of the strategy, they surely cannot help the organization implement it effectively." - Robert S. Kaplan & David P. Norton, The Office of Strategy Management, The Harvard Business Review, October 2005
Strategy is an important thought process that generally involves setting organizational goals, determining actions to achieve the goals, and mobilizing resources to execute efficient and effective actions. An effective strategy is one that the organization understands and one that sets the operational guidelines that the organization will use to develop actions to ensure that the goals will be achieved through day to day business activity.
Many companies and organizations embark on the development of a Strategic Plan with no training for the team members involved and little if no past experience in Strategic Planning.
We strive to help you build an effective and comprehensive Strategic Plan by working with you to develop a combination of training and support services to provide your Strategic Planning Team with the tools necessary to develop and write an effective Strategic Plan for your organization. We work with you to develop a program customized to meet your needs through:
Customized Strategic Planning "train the trainer" curriculum
Developing customized questionnaires to help you in the information gathering process
Assisting you in aligning your plan with the overall mission and vision of your organization
Facilitating and guiding your SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis
Helping you set effective goals and develop KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
Facilitating and guiding focus groups
Providing ongoing administrative support to assist you as you develop and write the plan
